This weekend I had the pleasure of designing a spectacular wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado. We brought Hawaii to the Windsor lawn! Both Ted and Jerry were so much fun to work with. I was given 3 weeks to piece together one of the most detailed wedding ever! Emily Smiley, San Diego wedding planner coordinator did an outstanding job. I think she had a body double because I recalled seeing her in two different places! Well, she was on top of it that’s for sure! More than 1200 feet of dedrobium orchid leis were used for this wedding. Here we used an abundance of the white orchid garlands to drape in front of the canopy. It looks so cool!
We used a collection of market umbrellas to form a long canopy for the reception. A gentle ocean breeze gives the orchid strands a whimsical effect.
