Prettiness is not only for girls. Several weeks ago we posted some precious floral hand bags for the little flower girls. Well, I think the handsome little men are just as precious. This particular wedding was inspired by everything ‘Romantic’……you name it….Lace, feathers, brooches, garden roses and gardenias. All shouts Romance. The bespoke little men at this wedding carried our custom silk boxes embellished with gorgeous lace trims and accentuated with fresh blooms. It was a perfect addition for this gorgeous vintage inspired ‘Romantic’ wedding. More on Alex and Jesse’s wedding soon!

A Rancho Santa Fe Country Club Wedding

After all the white weddings that we’ve done, its timeless elegance and subtle luxuriousness still gets me every time. White is a gorgeous look that never goes out of style. Take for instance this tailored bouquet of hand wired gardenias, calla lilies, and cymbidium orchids. It’s classic number that will still be in vogue for decades to come. We created chic purses for the flower girl and embellished them with crystals and hints of colorful orchids to coordinate with the bridesmaids vibrant peony bouquets. The bride walked down the aisle of the St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church surrounded by rows of darling bouquets and sways of romantic chiffon. An exchange of vows were made between two dramatic arrangements on custom upholstered columns dripping in crystals.

Does it get more elegant and timeless than a reception at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club? Opulent centerpieces bursting with white phalaenopsis orchids and tulips. The rustic chandeliers were complemented by the gold brooches that adorned each floating candle. A stunning head table was filled to the brim with romantic candle and luscious white floral vases. Vintage wedding of Shawn and Zack in Rancho Santa fe

I love the wedding of Shawn and Zack. Everything about this wedding was Rockin’! The setting is ever so unique! I will write about the details of this gorgeous couple in another post. For this post, I want to focus on the floral details of their wedding. The theme of the wedding is ‘FRENCH VINTAGE’. It took place at Shawn’s parents home in Rancho Santa fe. I worked closely with the bride’s father to make this wedding particularly unique. Because of the uneven grounds in their backyard, Classic Party rental constructed a deck to hold the entire wedding. The outdoor setting of their estate is breathtaking and spectacular! This backyard even has its own lake! The fine touches really was special for this wedding. One of the element was the Chantilly lace. We used hundreds of yards of Chantilly lace to customize their wedding canopy, trimming for the columns, wrappings around the small vases and the overlay for the guests tables. Shawn introduced the pale robin blue plates into the tabletop which makes such a beautiful statement. We used the Servre plates from Classic Party rentals for the grand head table. The wonderful Jennifer Dailard from Simply Posh Design graciously provided the gorgeous menus and the table signs. This wedding is right up her alley! She loves to bling anything up! The challenge for the wedding was utilizing the same space for the ceremony and the reception. As the guests cock tailed, we speedily flip the ceremony site unto a dining reception filled with long feast style tables. Each table was lined with large silver candelabras overflowing with thousands of roses, hydrangeas and pendulous phalaenopsis orchids. We also interspersed multiple heights of mercury candle holders between each floral pieces. The use of these candelabras concentrated together makes the long table setting looks amazing. Rich fall wedding at the Rancho Valencia Resort

It will make you want to snuggle up with a warm fussy blanket. I love all the rich texture and colors. She blended the organic elements but in keeping with our signature Lush style. Great work Aileen! Pam Scott did a splendid job photographing this as well….Thank you Pam!

Jessica and Mario ~ The INN at Rancho Santa Fe wedding

It’s our pleasure to introduce to you one of our favorite wedding this year. Jessica and Mario celebrated their wedding at the Rancho Santa Fe Inn, a comforting and inviting venue with plenty of rustic character. The bride’s favorite color was orange, so we combined that with her taste for curly willow branches and other organic elements. Mario was part Irish, and so we incorporated Bells of Ireland into the centerpieces and soon came up with a color scheme of orange, green, coral, brown, and white. Jessica’s bouquet was just as vibrant are her personality; coral spray roses and calla lilies were combined with fragrant gardenias and feathers to create a fun and flirty bouquet. Her bridesmaids carried organic inspired bouquets of orange makara, green cymidium orchids, pin cushions, roses, and coral calla lilies. And they look just fabulous with their hand painted parasols. What a fun addition! We were so delighted to work closely with the lovely and gracious Mother of the groom on this ‘full of details’ wedding. Tracy has many input on this grand wedding and was a joy to collaborate with.
We had a lot of fun designing her escort table. A grand manzanita tree adorned with orchids, cascading tulips, and moss was the focal point. Surrounding it were custom satin covered boxes filled with reindeer moss and river rock that anchored the guest’s escort cards. Their reception took place in a gorgeous tent on the Inn’s Croquet Lawn at the Inn at Rancho santa fe. Each table was dressed in green velvet embossed linens from Wildflower Linens and centerpieces bursting with orchids, tulips, Bells of Ireland, and calla lilies. Towards the end of the evening, the guests danced the night away on the seamless custom dance floor. Susanne Duffy helped to execute this fantastic event. Catering manager Marianna Ogando is so wonderful to work with at the INN and makes our job a whole lot easier. Thank you Marianna!

Tent style Weddings

There’s something so special and utterly Romantic about white tent Weddings. Perhaps its the dramatic visual effect of the white fabric liners, with its peak ceiling that adds so much to the wedding reception. Flushing the tent with special gel lighting adds drama and sets the mood for a romantic affair. Adding a plethora of candles a must and of course stunning floral decor. Weddings below were from Santa luz Country club in northern San Diego and Rancho Valencia Resort in Ranch Santa Fe.
