Glamorous Tiffany blue wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado: Reception details

This wedding was Glamorous with a capital ‘G’! Sure to tantalize and feast your eyes. The grand ballroom at the Hotel Del Coronado was transformed into a floral paradise decked out with hundreds of luxurious white phalaenopsis orchids and other beautiful white blooms. Drawing from the tiffany blue and white theme, the ballroom was lit with an abundance of candles floating in tiffany blue water. The two main Headtables were the focal piece of this room. These luxurious tables included glass mirror top lined with a plethora of glass vessels EACH wrapped in crystal trimming and finished with a glamorous brooch. The result was so pretty! The reflection of the mirrors gave this tabletop a glitzy look! So fabulous! Our favorite gal Jennifer from Simply Posh Design provided the paper goods for Kim and Brian’s wedding. The gorgeous tiffany blue menus looked amazing on our tabletop. The beautiful cake made by Cake bakery was placed on our glitzy cake stand trimmed with rhinestone band and crystal brooches. Perfect compliment for this glamorous wedding! Platinumpro provided a beautiful tiffany blue oval dance floor and the ladies at Crown weddings did a fine job coordinating the wedding. Thank you Team! Modern and Posh Purple wedding: Denise and Tim

If you ever wonder what a romantic, intimate and full of delicious details would look like, here it is! We are so honored to be a part of Denise and Tim’s gorgeous wedding. After choosing San Diego and La Jolla to host their destination wedding, this lovely couple invited their close family to join them at The Japanese Friendship garden in Balboa Park follow with a reception at Azul La Jolla. We love it when we get an opportunity to create something unique . We started the FUN with the adorable floral hand bags for the little flower girls. Chanel inspired? The ring bearer carried white leather boxes with rhinestone trims. So luxurious!
Hues of lavender, hints of purple and a sea of white color were used for their ceremony. The lovely bride walked through sheer purple drapes with 100 fluffy white peonies hanging from above. The couple exchanged their vows under our signature wedding canopy adorned with fresh white orchids and hanging crystals. The celebration continued with a posh and luxurious theme at Azul La Jolla. Each glass vessel was embellished uniquely with brooches, crocodile leather and rhinestone trimming. Here we selected a darker floral palette of plum, purple and magenta. A plethora of cattleya orchids, peonies, roses and viburnum were used to create this lush tabletop. Jennifer Daillard of Simply Posh Design created over-the-top luxuriously silk embroidered menus. Each one was personally addressed to the guests with sentimental notes from the couple. How brilliant and outrageously gorgeous! Congratulations to the beautiful couple Denise and Tim! Posh Flower Girl Purses

Remember those times when you were a little girl and would try on your mother’s clothes? I’d feel instant glamour as soon as I donned my mom’s oversized clip-on earrings and swung around her purses. Here are some flower girl purses that we made recently for a luxurious wedding. Seeing her daughters prance around feeling like grown ups made me think about those days of playing ‘dress up’. Being a sucker for Chanel, I had to incorporate quilted white leather to these chic little numbers. Vanda orchids, crystals, and burnt ostrich feathers make me swoon every time… ~Aileen

US Grant Royal Wedding Show

San Diego experienced its first white Winter at the historic US Grant Bridal Show. Inspired by snow, ice queens, and crystals, we set out to create a modern and chic booth of pure white and silver tones. Crisp white orchids, chrome grape wood, and icy acrylic were unexpected twists. Gleaming chandeliers, crystal embellishments, and tufted furniture provided by Concept Events gave it a posh elegance. We teamed up with Susanne of Crown Weddings, who offered her charming talents to the many brides that flocked to this royal affair. The amazing Jennifer of Simply Posh Design created stunning stationary that combined vintage brooches and whimsical paper for invitations and menus with regal finesse. We were lucky enough to have Pam Scott capture every detail of this winter wonderland!

Bouquet Monday: Light pink peony bouquet

Maybe its the holiday season that makes me wish I was a graceful ballerina. I dug up this photo of a light pink peony and tulle bouquet that was made during the height of the season. The delicate petals of the peonies reminded me of ethereal ballerina tutus. This bouquet was a compliment to a photo shoot we did at the Santaluz Club with the ultra talented Pam Scott. Regal wedding in the Crown Room at the Hotel Del Coronado

Gemma was probably one of the sweetest person I have ever met. I remember my first conversation with her, she told me ever since she was a little girl, she dreamt about getting married at the Hotel Del Coronado. She has wanted a beautiful grand wedding in the Crown ballroom with large elegant floral centerpieces. I am happy that that dream has come true for Gemma. In August, she strolled down the gorgeous Windsor lawn at the Hotel Del on a hand painted aisle runner with biblical scriptures she held dear. We designed a white airy wedding canopy infused with white phalaenopsis orchids, large white hydrangeas and plethora of ivory and white roses. The guests were greeted with parasols and hand carved wooden fans to shield them from the warm sun. Inside the beautiful Crown ballroom, we played off the warm tones of the infamous Crown chandeliers. Gold and Ivory were the main colors used for this royal like wedding. Gold crystal brooch napkin rings, beautiful crown emblem menus from Simply Posh design, crystal frames and floating candles were some of many touches that made the Crown ballroom sparkled. The Lodge Torrey Pines wedding: Olivia and Steven

One can never go wrong with a classic white wedding. In this Lodge at Torrey Pines wedding, black was the accent color to a white and ivory floral palette. Dark earthy hues pair so well with the craftsman decor of this exquisite resort. Olivia and Steven exchanged vows on the Arroya Lawn, overlooking the immaculate golf course. Two large arrangements pouring with white phalaenopsis greeted guests at the entrance, white Hawaiian orchid leis and crystals cascaded from a dark stained wooden canopy. The celebration continued in the Charles Reiffel room, where low and abundant centerpieces on simple black runners adorned each table. A room of all black chiavari chairs make a striking statement. Sweet Surprise wedding at La Valencia Hotel La Jolla

This is truly a sweet story. I received a phone call from Mauricio two weeks before the wedding. He wanted to plan a surprise wedding for his fiance. Wow! a surprise wedding? Now this is something I have never done before. Mauricio thoughtfully planned their destination wedding from Texas. Selecting every element of their wedding even her bridal bouquet. He carefully selected everything with his beautiful bride’s favorite color in mind: Yellow! It was infused throughout their wedding. I love how Aileen hand wired each bloom of Betty’s bouquet to give it an elegant clean finish. This intimate romantic wedding ceremony was held on the lawn of La Valencia Hotel over looking the pacific ocean. Since the Mauricio and Betty are both members of the Brazilian Art Organization, he opted for a very simple modern canopy dripping with cymbidium blooms and crystal strands. Pam Scott did such a marvelous Job with their photos. Congratulations Mauicio and Betty!
