Rancho Valencia Resort Valentine wedding

It’s so sweet to see small intimate weddings. Janet and Brad had a San Diego destination wedding at the beautiful Rancho Valencia Resort on Valentine’s weekend. I can honestly say that Jan was the sweetest bride. She was ecstatic about her bridal bouquet that Aileen designed for her, which consisted of hand wired gardenias, cymbidium orchids, dendrobium orchids and imported roses and don’t forget the Bling bling brooch. Brad wore a classic gardenia boutonniere (my favorite) and their daughter Shelby carried a smaller version of Janet’s bridal bouquet. What a beautiful family! Congratulations Janet and Brad! No other flower rivals the gardenia in terms of fragrance, beauty, and elegance. Its intoxicating perfume never ceases to make me weak in the knees. This bouquet is make entirely of hand wired gardenias! Classic and timeless, a bouquet like this goes beyond all wedding trends. I love adding gardenias to bridal bouquets for its alluring fragrance and dazzling shape.

This week is the anniversary of Libby and Scott. They were married at the Congregation Beth Israel of San Diego in UTC. The reception was held at Libby’s father’s resort, The Grand Pacific Resort in Carlsbad. Darin Fong just sent me these stunning images of their wedding. Thank you Darin! This wedding was spectacular and beautiful in so many ways. Libby looked spendid in her mermaid gown carrying a fragrant gardenia bouquet. Wayne Foster Entertainment brought the party to this wedding with their high energy music. Susanne Duffy from Crown Weddings was the fabulous planner. The ingredients to this amazing tabletop? 130 stems of dendrobium orchids, 40 stems of white hydrangeas, 25 stems of imported roses equals ONE spectacular arrangement! What a party, what a beautiful wedding. Thank you Libby and Scott for including me in your gorgeous wedding. I am so honor to be a part of it. Happy 1st anniversary!

Happy Monday Everyone! It’s been a while since our last ‘bouquet Monday’ post. Today I would like to feature one of my favorite flower: Gardenias! Long regarded as the most romantic flower for bridal bouquets. This bouquet here was finished with a rhinestone brooch. We carefully hand wired each bloom and gather together to form this delicious bouquet.

Pink Peonies and crystals

Our recent wedding at La Valencia Resort was filled with gorgeous details. What could be better than Peonies and crystals? I’m excited that the next several months is ‘peony’ season. It’s by far my favorite bloom so naturally I am thrill when I can use them and use them abundantly! Just a couple of photos until we get the professional images from Rebecca Seal Photography.
The bride carried a classic white bouquet consisting of fancy Gardenias and ivory roses. It blend beautifully with her sheath gown. The bridesmaids bouquets were pink peonies, New Zealand ranunculas and orchids tied with blush pink ribbons and finished with a small crystal brooch. The Verandah room at the La Valencia was transformed unto a floral Paradise featuring Lush centerpieces bursting with peonies, phaleanopsis orchids, roses, hydrangeas and calla lilies. We added hanging crystals to play off the wall chandeliers displayed throughout the ballroom. In keeping with the pink peonies and crystal theme, we removed the existing plants inside the White chandeliers and adorn them with hanging crystals and peonies.
