Seaside bridal Bouquet
Ah, weddings by the sea shore…..Beach theme weddings are my favorite! What’s more fitting then a starfish? Even better, a crystal starfish brooch from Karen Tran collection. Modern and Posh Purple wedding: Denise and Tim
If you ever wonder what a romantic, intimate and full of delicious details would look like, here it is! We are so honored to be a part of Denise and Tim’s gorgeous wedding. After choosing San Diego and La Jolla to host their destination wedding, this lovely couple invited their close family to join them at The Japanese Friendship garden in Balboa Park follow with a reception at Azul La Jolla. We love it when we get an opportunity to create something unique . We started the FUN with the adorable floral hand bags for the little flower girls. Chanel inspired? The ring bearer carried white leather boxes with rhinestone trims. So luxurious!
Hues of lavender, hints of purple and a sea of white color were used for their ceremony. The lovely bride walked through sheer purple drapes with 100 fluffy white peonies hanging from above. The couple exchanged their vows under our signature wedding canopy adorned with fresh white orchids and hanging crystals. The celebration continued with a posh and luxurious theme at Azul La Jolla. Each glass vessel was embellished uniquely with brooches, crocodile leather and rhinestone trimming. Here we selected a darker floral palette of plum, purple and magenta. A plethora of cattleya orchids, peonies, roses and viburnum were used to create this lush tabletop. Jennifer Daillard of Simply Posh Design created over-the-top luxuriously silk embroidered menus. Each one was personally addressed to the guests with sentimental notes from the couple. How brilliant and outrageously gorgeous! Congratulations to the beautiful couple Denise and Tim! The Lodge Torrey Pines Wedding: Kelly and Regan
Coming up next week we will feature the gorgeous wedding of Kelly and Regan at the Lodge Torrey pines. Blending together the natural and organic elements with our signature lush and abundant style. We created this wedding canopy by weaving dogwood and apricot branches with plethora of calla lilies, orchids, roses and peonies! The result was definitely rewarding. Ethereal White and purple Wedding Ceremony
Coming up next week we will feature the gorgeous wedding of Denise and Tim. This San Diego Destination wedding was not only incredibly romantic but ethereal, surreal and whimsical. The beautiful bride Denise walked through a sea of thick fluffy white petal path outlining with vases holding hundreds of peonies and white phalaenopsis orchids. We hung 100 gigantic Fresh white peonies blooms under the overhang leading to the Altar. The effect? ROMANTICA! Please check back soon for more delicious images of this sweet wedding.
Modern Mediterranean photo shoot at Santaluz Country Club: Video by Darin Fong
Peonies season is upon us and we can not be happier! We are basking in hundred of these gorgeous blooms daily and loving it! The coral charm peonies are the highlight for this Modern Mediterranean photo shoot. Aileen was inspired by the crisp colors of Coral, deep orange and the perfect blue from the dress she was wearing. Santaluz Country Club provided a perfect back drop for this fun and exciting tabletop. We hope you enjoy viewing this as much as we enjoy putting it together. Romantic Vintage wedding at La Valencia Hotel La Jolla
A sneak preview of our wedding at La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla. Erica and Craig had a destination wedding in San Diego. The couple and all their guests arrive to La Jolla for weekend celebration from New York City. They were greeted with the famous San Diego weather! The amazing Photographer Darin Fong produced some fantastic images at a lightening speed. Wow! They are gorgeous! Erica’s vision for her wedding was soft romantic tones with a vintage rustic flair. Gold color palette was introduced to give a more opulent appeal. We used a plethora of white peonies, parrot tulips, orchids and fresh garden roses (all Erica’s favorite!) to create a romantic table setting in the Verandah room at the La Valencia Hotel. Gold vintage lace overlay and gorgeous custom silk board menus from Simply Posh Design added more gorgeousness to this tabletop! We were particularly excited about the adorable flower girl purses. Crafted with tulip petals to form a large ruffle bloom. These silk bags with vintage lace handles were simply irresistible! Of course the ring bearer carried a complimenting silk ring box with a large ruffle floral bloom. Adorable!

Posh Flower Girl Purses
Remember those times when you were a little girl and would try on your mother’s clothes? I’d feel instant glamour as soon as I donned my mom’s oversized clip-on earrings and swung around her purses. Here are some flower girl purses that we made recently for a luxurious wedding. Seeing her daughters prance around feeling like grown ups made me think about those days of playing ‘dress up’. Being a sucker for Chanel, I had to incorporate quilted white leather to these chic little numbers. Vanda orchids, crystals, and burnt ostrich feathers make me swoon every time… ~Aileen
The knot Party at Santaluz country club
Bravo to the Crown Weddings team for a successful Knot’s party for wedding professional in San Diego, hosted at the beautiful Santaluz Country Club. This is a gorgeous place to host a wedding offering a fully lined white tent overlooking it’s golf course, rolling hills and stunning sunset.
Wonderful San Diego vendors collaborated together to produce this unforgettable elegant event. The tent at Santaluz Club was decked out with our extravagant and custom floral chandelier. Extending more than 5 ft across (and weighing a ton!), this floral chandelier was suspended from the tent ceiling bursting with hundreds of roses, orchids, tulips and viburnum in a robust warm palette. Karen Tran Florals, Simply Posh design, Concept event designs, platinum pro, Archive rentals and many others contributed to this lovely ’under the tuscan sun’ evening, an appropriate theme for this beautiful hilltop tuscany-inspired Country Club. A fun night full of laughter, fine food and serious eye candy decor. Founder and editor in chief Carly Rooney was present to mingle and spoke about our current trends. Beautiful bridal bouquet
Making a beautiful bridal bouquet has got to be my favorite thing to design. Every bouquet is different: texture, color, and type of blooms all make the bouquet personable. We take great pride in constructing the bride’s bouquet. Every single stem is hand wired, careful attention paid to wrapping the stems with fine material such as lace or french silk. We love adorning the stems with jewels from our private collection. Below is just a sample of our favorite stem wrap. The embellishment compliment the bride’s dress beautifully. CW Shedding for the Wedding floral details
Last April CW TV broadcasted the grand finale wedding of their TV series ‘Shedding for the Wedding’. The deserving winners Samantha and Brooks had a spectacular wedding at the gorgeous Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verde. If you have been following the show, you would know that this lovely couple’s wedding theme is ‘Eco-Lovers’. With that theme in mind, we begin designing their fantasy wedding with many interesting organic elements such as succulents, branches, moss and naturally abundance of flowers. Well, flowers are natural right? In our last post, we showed you all beautiful images of their wedding ceremony over looking the pacific ocean at the Terranea Resort. The reception for their carried a very woodsy theme. The set was created in the ballroom with large life sized trees surrounding the guests. A rustic Tree house with a deck was custom built to hold the sweetheart table and the wedding cake. Our floral centerpieces amassed the tables with manzanita branches adorned with succulent strands, exotic orchids and roses carrying out the green and purple wedding colors. Rich overlay of green velvet embossed linens from Wildflower Linens was a perfect match for this luscious tabletop along with organic inspired menus from Simply Posh. The large floral piece of interesting gnarled branches cascading with purple tulips and calla lilies welcomed the guests as they enter the grand ballroom. The energy was high as guests danced the night away on a custom Monogram dance floor. We had a great time designing this wedding for CW. Hotel Del Coronado Wedding
We had a fabulous time designing the wedding of Laura and David at the Gorgeous Hotel Del Coronado. We are awaiting photos from the photographer but in the meantime, here is my favorite. The ceremony was taken place on the Windsor Lawn overlooking the pacific ocean. Classic, romantic and timeless are words that definitely describe this impeccable ceremony. This wedding was seamlessly coordinator by the fabulous Susanne Duffy from Crown Weddings. Please look out for more photos soon.
Engage!11 at the Grand Del Mar: florals details
As many of know, last week we welcomed the Engage!11 wedding summit here in to our hometown. We were over the moon excited to be a part of this event. The two phenomenal ladies of Engage! Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce were a joy to collaborate with. They provide us with a theme to work with: Deep red, black and white and asked us to run with it. Ran we did! Our heads were buzzing with a million ideas. We thought it was be fun to do something different then just a few blooms in a vase. We provided more the 34 floral pieces. EACH uniquely embellished with embossed leather, brooches, crystal strands and feather. FUN FUN FUN! Please enjoy the photos below, warning: they are detail overload. Mod Orange Tassel Bouquet
I have a confession to make: I have a tassel fetish. Perhaps it began after a wedding at the Parker Palm Springs, where I saw tons of swanky tassel lampshades. Or maybe this obsession started at a party under a tassel adorned Moroccan Raj tent. Since then, I’ve been salivating at the sight of them. Now that ranunculus season is coming to an end, I had to pay homage and incorporate them into this mod and retro inspired bouquet. Clean lined calla lilies and red aloe flowers are offset by a vibrant orange tassel embellishing the handle. Thank you JStemmer Photography for the fantastic photos!
