Seaside Splendor at the Hotel Del Coronado: Kelsey and Jeff

The gorgeous wedding of Kelsey and Jeff took place at the infamous Hotel Del Coronado.  I love this wedding for so many reasons.  Kelsey and Jeff’s fun and vibrant personality shines through their entire wedding.  Boy, do they know how to enjoy a wedding! It was fantastic!  This seaside wedding embraced many fun and interesting elements.  The bride wanted a glamorous wedding with touches of rusted beach elements.  We incorporated nautilus shells, corals and succulent blooms.  The teal color worn by her bridesmaids paired well with the vibrant raspberry and mandarin orange.  Their ceremony took place on the ocean front Windsor Lawn overlooking the fantastic Coronado beach.  The decor for the ceremony reflects their love for the beach.  We provided the custom bamboo canopy dripping with exotic white orchids and adorned with hanging orbs and starfish.  The aisle leading to their beach-inspired wedding canopy consisted of acrylic boxes holding grape wood branches, succulents and seashells.  The vibrant display of tulips, calla lilies and orchids in a deep orange, apple green and raspberry greeted the guests as they enter the cocktail area.  The colorful decor of this wedding continued to the reception in the Crown Ballroom.  Tall cylinder glass vases with submerged orchids and floating candles lining the entrance as the guests were led to the beautiful ballroom. The main focal point of the room was the spectacular Head table.  The long feast style head table featured a plethora of orchids, tulips and manzanita holding clusters of white orchids.  The tabletop decor for each guest table also included the manzanita branches dripping with white phalaenopsis orchids and strings of pearl succulents and surrounded with raspberry colored roses.  I love the pairing of teal, raspberry and orange for the Crown Ballroom.  The lighting and awesome dance floor provided Platinumpro further enhanced this spectacular wedding.  Emily Smiley was on board to ensure a smooth day and all the gorgeous images were taken by Jeff and Erin Youngrens with ‘The Youngrens Photography’.  Thank you so much for providing these to us.
Last and definitely not least, Thank you to the beautiful Davincourt and Wiegman family!  Congratulations Kelsey and Jef!  You both are so adorable!

The Lodge Torrey Pines La Jolla Wedding: Natasha and James

Several weeks ago we designed the  gorgeous wedding of Natasha and James at the Lodge Torrey pines.  The meticulous arroya lawn set a perfect ground for our intricate ceremony.  Using beautiful all white blooms with amethyst fabrics and accent, the lawn at Torrey pines  had an ethereal glow.  The golf course back drop was perfection!  (Speaking from a golf addict!) The aisles were lined with large boxes overflowing with gorgeous white roses and hydrangeas along with hundreds of elegant white orchids leading the beautiful bride to the sheer draped canopy.  The reception carried a different tone.  The Charles Reiffel room was decked out in deep shades of plum, purple, magenta and raspberry with gold accents.  All the bride’s favorite colors!  The feast style head table was the main focus of the room, it featured large floral arrangements bursting with deep color orchids, roses and tulips set atop Gold hand painted vases.  I must say,  I love these rich colors in the ballroom!  Each guest table centerpiece included large floral boxes carrying an abundant of rich hydrangeas, orchids and tulips.  We added gold rhinestone trimming to each box to complement the tabletop.  Jennifer from Simply Posh design provided the exquisite paper goods white Susanne Duffy from Crown weddings provided the flawless planning.  All gorgeous images were taken by Pam Scott.  Thank you again Pam!  Congratulations to the beautiful couple!

A Rancho Santa Fe Country Club Wedding

After all the white weddings that we’ve done, its timeless elegance and subtle luxuriousness still gets me every time. White is a gorgeous look that never goes out of style. Take for instance this tailored bouquet of hand wired gardenias, calla lilies, and cymbidium orchids. It’s classic number that will still be in vogue for decades to come. We created chic purses for the flower girl and embellished them with crystals and hints of colorful orchids to coordinate with the bridesmaids vibrant peony bouquets. The bride walked down the aisle of the St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church surrounded by rows of darling bouquets and sways of romantic chiffon. An exchange of vows were made between two dramatic arrangements on custom upholstered columns dripping in crystals.

Does it get more elegant and timeless than a reception at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club? Opulent centerpieces bursting with white phalaenopsis orchids and tulips. The rustic chandeliers were complemented by the gold brooches that adorned each floating candle. A stunning head table was filled to the brim with romantic candle and luscious white floral vases. What makes a white wedding all the more wonderful is the opportunity to work with Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings. Many thanks to Darin Fong Photography for the delicious photos.

Elegant Vintage Inspired Wedding at La Valencia Hotel: Erica and Craig

This vintage inspired wedding almost leaves me without words. Almost. Erica and Craig were smitten with soft buttercream tones, apricot hues, and feathers. We hand wired gardenias, peonies, David Austin roses, and feathers to create a romantic bouquet for the bride. To compliment the antique blue worn by her bridesmaids, we used Juliet roses, cattelya orchids, peonies, and parrot tulips for richly textured bouquets. For the lucky flower girls, we made floral purses embellished with delicate parrot tulip petals, touches of rhinestones, and a vintage lace handle.

Erica and Craig said their “I do’s” surround by two lusciously rustic arrangements, bursting with tulips, orchids, and whimsical dogwood. Afterwards, guests were greeted in the Verandah Room by abundant centerpieces resting on wrought iron candelabras. Each vase and vessel were embellished with French satin ribbons and gold vintage brooches from our own collection. Champagne lace overlays from Wildflower Linens perfectly complimented the elegant vintage theme carried throughout the wedding. Simply Posh Design created gorgeous menus on her signature silk boards for each of the guests. It is always a pleasure working with the stylish and graceful, Catherine, of CBS Weddings. Thank you Darin Fong for the beautiful photos!

The new ‘Your Wedding Day’ Magazine is hot off the press

We are thrilled to be a part of the newly released ‘Your wedding Day’ Magazine.  It is fresh off the press and now available in book stores.  We were invited to design a ‘Hawaii Chic’ set at Rancho Los Lomas.  I find this so fitting as we LOVE weddings in Hawaii!  The scene was designed in deep chocolate with fresh Aqua color.  The details are just exquisite!  We worked tirelessly to come up with unique concept to display a fresh, chic and modern Hawaii inspired setting.  The white draped back drop held custom bamboo frames (hand maded by Aileen and Julie) dripping with elegant orchids and black coral fans.  Tall acrylic columns flank the entrance to this setting with hand painted wood branches set in aqua colored glass rocks.  The decor continued to the escort card table where orchid leis hung off the bamboo lampshade.  Jennifer at Simply Posh design did her magic with the most beautiful silk board name cards and custom acrylic edged menus.  The name cards were set in acrylic box with AQUA rocks. Sweet cheeks did a marvelous job with the  painted cake complete with the dark bamboo designs.  It was perfect with our custom bamboo cake stand.  The main dining table was adorned with orchids (of course!) and dark wood weaved throughout set in acrylic boxes and aqua rocks.  The result was posh, fresh and so elegant!  Susanne at  Crown Weddings was included in this project to assist us with the decor.  Special thanks to Caroline Tran Photography for these incredible images!  Enjoy!

Pink and Gold inspiration from Bridal bar

What a beautiful post from Jet fete blog by bridal bar!  I love the pretty pink with gold accent.  It’s luxuriously pretty!  Thank you Harmony for the post!  We are happy to see our tabletop design in this fabulous inspiration board.  It is very suitable with The Langham Hotel London!  This tabletop was featured on our blog last year.  Here is the full post.

Feast style head table

Nothing is more majestic then to walk into a room featuring a long feast style table decked out in abundance of gorgeous florals.  I love and enjoy designing an outrageous head table.  I think it’s always the focal point of the room.  Here at Natasha and James wedding at the beautiful Lodge at Torrey pines, we used the ever popular purple with deep royal colors.  The accent gold color gave the tabletop and rich appeal.  I just love how this color theme contrast the dark wood trimming around the room.

The Lodge Torrey Pines Wedding: Unique petal path

The Lodge at Torrey pines never disappoint.  Its immaculate  arroya lawn is perfect for our unique scrolls of petals  for the aisle.  Here at Natasha and Jame’s wedding, we designed a lush ceremony using whites and amethyst color.  An abundant of planter boxes bearing lush hydrangeas, roses and orchids lined this luscious aisle leading to an airy romantic canopy.  As the mist passes through the gorgeous golf course in the back ground, the setting gives an etherial and surreal effect.  The Lodge torrey pines is one of our favorite wedding location, and you can see why.  Please stay tune for more amazing photos from the talented Pam Scott.

Glamorous Tiffany blue wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado: Reception details

This wedding was Glamorous with a capital ‘G’! Sure to tantalize and feast your eyes.  The grand ballroom at the Hotel Del Coronado was transformed into a floral paradise decked out with hundreds of luxurious white phalaenopsis orchids and other beautiful white blooms.  Drawing from the tiffany blue and white theme, the ballroom was lit with an abundance of candles floating in tiffany blue water.  The  two main Headtables were the focal piece of this room.  These luxurious tables included glass mirror top lined with a plethora of glass vessels EACH wrapped in crystal trimming and finished with a glamorous brooch.  The result was so pretty!  The reflection of the mirrors gave this tabletop a glitzy look!  So fabulous!  Our favorite gal Jennifer from Simply Posh Design provided the paper goods for Kim and Brian’s wedding.  The gorgeous tiffany blue menus looked amazing on our tabletop.  The beautiful cake made by Cake bakery was placed on our glitzy cake stand trimmed with rhinestone band and crystal brooches.  Perfect compliment for this glamorous wedding!  Platinumpro provided a beautiful  tiffany blue oval dance floor and the ladies at Crown weddings did a fine job coordinating the wedding.  Thank you Team!  Please check back with us soon for more personal images of this beautiful couple.
Congratulations Kim and Brian!  Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!  It was such an honor!

Yellow and tiffany blue wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado: Details

The wedding ceremony of Kim and Brian was taken place at the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado on the windsor lawn with direct ocean view.  I love the sweet blend of the Tiffany blue and yellow color.  A perfect mix for a summer wedding.  The Escort table for the guest place cards was the show piece during their cocktail hour (Our favorite piece to design!)  Set amidst the Windsor lawn, we designed our signature show piece to compliment the 270 origami cranes hand made by the bride herself.  The floral piece took on the shape of a bonsai tree hovering over the precious cranes displayed on boxes of rice.  The boxes were embellished with tiffany blue ribbons and gorgeous crystal trim.  We don’t get to use ‘Yellow’ very often so we were excited that Kim is partial to this color!  How sweet does their pooch ‘Mochi’ look?  So amazingly precious with the yellow bridesmaid’s bouquets which were made with hand wire cattleya orchids, roses and Calla lilies.  Of course wrapped in rhinestone and finished with a crystal brooch!  Who doesn’t like a little bling?
We are so grateful to have Pam Scott on hand to document this wedding with her incredible eyes for fine details.  Thank  you so much Pam!  Please stay tune for beautiful images of their reception in the Grand Ballroom.

White Wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado

White has got to be my favorite color for weddings.  It seams that it’s true for most brides as well.  Who can resist the dreamy appearance of the elegant white orchids?  Even the hot summer heat did not stop us from using 400 stems of these gorgeous beauties on the Windsor lawn of the Hotel Del Coronado.  Here at Kim and Brian’s wedding we lined hundreds of Phalaenopsis orchids down the aisle greeting the altar with Two massive 8ft Mazanita trees drenched with these exotic blooms.  The effect is stunning, don’t you agree?  Please stay tune for more incredible images of this lovely couple from the talented Pam Scott in later post.

French Provencal wine dinner party for Patek Philippe: Fairmont Miramar Santa Monica

We had an amazing opportunity to design a french countryside theme dinner for the world renowned watch maker ‘Patek Philippe’ at the beautiful Fairmont Miramar Santa Monica.  The rustic feast style table was lined with burlap runner and adorned with aged hydrangeas, tulips, herbs, garden roses and interesting foliages.  Deep gold tone was introduce to give the table a polish look.  Each glass vessel was wrapped with burlap trims and embellished with sprigs of lavender and rosemary herbs.  Grape wood branches weaved throughout to give a rustic feel. Chameleon chairs completed this look with it’s velvet gold padding. Simply Posh design came through again with their exquisite  silk board menus adorn with sprigs of freshly picked lavender, perfect for our wine dinner!

The Lodge Torrey Pines La Jolla Wedding: Kelly and Regan

This was a lovely and fun wedding.  Full of fine details and interesting elements.  Kelly and her sweet mother Diane knew they wanted something very unique before our first meeting.  After choosing their wedding venue at the beautiful Torrey Pines Lodge, they immediately commission us to design their spectacular wedding.  A beautiful marriage of Modern, rustic and organic became our inspired theme.  Drawing from the immaculate grounds of The Lodge Torrey Pines, we designed the ceremony with a rustic flair.  The intricate petal path design welcomed the bride to the heavily decorated arbor festooned with vivid spring blooms and flowering branches.  The striking contrast of bright orange and lime green looks stunning on the Arroyo Terrace.  The ceremony aisle was lined with alternating modern and organic design.  Clusters of mango calla lilies, submerged cymbidium orchids, bright parrot tulips mixed with our terrarium filled with succulents, moss and driftwood. We designed our signature escort table display using the same design model.  A tantalizing mix of tulips, orchids, calla lilies and roses set amidst moss boxes to hold the guest cards.
The wedding reception in the Maurice Braun ballroom embraced a clean line and luxurious aesthetic.  Each guest table centerpiece overspilling with Phalaenopsis orchids, parrot tulips, makara orchids and roses in a bright Mandarin and Apple green palette.  The feast style head table is always fun to design.  A plethora of sleek vases lined the center of the table.  Talking about making a statement! Platinum pro always comes through with their gorgeous dance floor and Emily Smiley was on board to help with the coordination and of course Darin Fong for the photography.  Thank you Team!
A huge Congratulations to the beautiful couple and their families!  What a great wedding!  Thank you for allowing us to share it with you!

Our Rustic Vintage wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado: Modern 8 Films

Several weeks ago we had the pleasure of designing a charming wedding of Alison and Brian at the Hotel Del Coronado. The details of this wedding was absolutely darling! Old picture frames, the bride’s grandmother’s cameo brooch, customized hand stitched linen runner paired with our vintage style florals gave this wedding a unique edge. Hundreds of old vintage roses were nestled in old grape wood to create a magnificent rustic table scape. Each glass vessel thoughtfully wrapped with burlap fabric and finished with antique bronze brooch.
As we await the images from the photographer, Our favorite Videographer Modern 8 Films has put together this video clip of our work. Thank you Ted and Alana! Spectacular work as usual!

La Valencia Hotel Wedding: Monica and Alex

I love this wedding for so many reasons.  A super sweet and beautiful bride, gorgeous color combination and a great Venue!  The bride is as cheerful as decor she has chosen for her wedding.  Raspberry, fuchsia, apple green and teal.  These colors were used with an organic flair.  Weaving together Manzanita branches, grapewood and succulents to obtain the rustic aesthetic.  We were excited to design Monica and Alex’s wedding combining the spring blooms  at the peak of its season, Peonies, tulips, anemones…love them all!  But the loveliest of all was the bouquet Monica carried.  She incorporated a locket with her Mother’s picture from her wedding.  So precious!
The ceremony celebration began in the quaint lawn at La Valencia Hotel.  Ceremony decor is not complete without the lush petal path in our book!  The cocktail continued in the Mediterranean courtyard, where the Escort card table set the tone for the decor.  Branches of grapewood set on tall glass vessels dripping with orchids, tulips and peonies in bright cheerful colors.  The reception in the Verandah room featured large manzanita trees adorned with graceful phalaenopsis orchids and hanging succulents set in our wooden boxes.  Platinum Pro provided the custom dance floor which made a lovely statement.  Special Thank you to PaperWhites Photography for the gorgeous images. Thank you Monica for entrusting in Karen Tran Florals to design your wedding.  This wedding was coordinated by Emily Smiley.  Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
