An Adorable floral handbag for the flower girl

I LOVE designing a sweet little handbag made out of fresh flowers.  They are fun and so adorable.  The options are quiet endless.  Here for Alex’s wedding, I used fresh sweetheart roses to form the body of the purse. The fabric of the handle were chosen to match the flower girl’s dress perfectly.  The bottom of the handbag was finished with a playful sheer ruffle trimming to complement her sweet ballerina dress.  Of course tiny sparkling jewels made the bag ever so precious.  Please stay tuned for more photos of Alex and Jesse’s gorgeous wedding at Rancho santa fe.

Island Splendor: Glamorous Maui tabletop inspiration

Our glamorous photoshoot the Hyatt Kaanapali  Maui revealed in the latest Bride and Bloom Magazine this month.   You may have seen a similar design floating around on another designer’s blog recently but our tabletop was designed 2 years ago.  So we are super excited to be able to blog about it now!  For this glamorous table setting,  we used the rich combination of phalaenopsis orchids, exotic cattleyas, vanda and plum calla lilies. The mercury balls and silver Paillettes linens from Wildflower linens give this table a modern and chic twist while the  rhinestone trims adds ‘glam’ to the candle holders and calla lily bouquets.  Each silver plate was set on acrylic sheets and wrapped with plum colored napkins accented with rhinestone trims.  Luxurious menus from Simply Posh design completed this tabletop perfectly.  Who says weddings in Maui can not be modern, chic or glamorous?  Maui can be all that and more…….Hope you enjoy our ‘Glamorous’ table display.
Special thanks to Evonne Wong for helping us with this photo shoot and Mike Adrian for the awesome photos!

Four Seasons Wailea Maui wedding feature in ‘The Bride and Bloom’ Magazine

Just rolled off the press and available now on the stand.  The southern California ‘Bride and Bloom’ magazine featured our Four Seasons Wailea Hawaii wedding of Bo and Ray.  The perfect location for a Maui Wedding.

We have been holding off blogging about this wedding!  So we are over the moon excited to post this.  The Title of their story is ‘Romance in Paradise’ and indeed it was.  We think The Fours Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is the most romantic place to get Married. Surrounded with lush exotic foliages and perched on a gorgeous lawn overlooking the sea is where the Ceremony was held.   The impeccable oceanfront lawn was graced with an abundant of roses, tulips and orchids in rich creamy palette.  Each side of the aisle were tall cascading strands of crystals and orchids.  Talk about a statement!  Thick petal path lead the gorgeous bride to our romantic signature wedding canopy where Bo and Ray exchanged their vows.
I was thrilled when Bo described her ‘dream’ wedding to me when we first spoke.  In her own words ” I just want everything to be pretty”  As we started devising their wedding plans, we gradually add crystals (lots of them!) feathers, lace and tons of bling.  We took full advantage of the peonies season.  It was integrated at every turn.  What a lucky bride!  The natural fluffy petals of the peony was perfect ingredient for our ‘pretty’ wedding…The use of the Peonies was abundant at the escort table.  Each vessel was adorned with feathers, brooches and ruffles. Jennifer from Simply Posh design contributed her talent and provided the gorgeous blush exquisite guest cards and long with the menus.
The  beautiful room at the Four Seasons Wailea turned into a pink floral fantasy.  With each vase draped with multiple strands of crystals and tied with an antique brooch, the centerpieces glowed and brought sparkle to the room.  Each crystal vase held a spectacular display of blush pink peonies, graceful orchids and gorgeous double parrot tulips. We continued the decor with the chair treatment for the bride and groom. We draped the back of the sweetheart’s chairs to imitating the chiffon draping of the Bride’s Vera Wang dress.  Blooms of orchids roses and tulips adorned the chairs with Chantilly lace gathered at the base.  The room was completed with the beautiful cake embellished with our custom crystal brooches.  Ah, it was dreamy!  Special ‘thank you’ to Pamela Scott for the beautiful images.  Lastly, Huge thanks to our beautiful couple Bo and Ray!  Congratulations on your feature!  Thank you for allowing our team to design and plan your wedding!  Bo, I hope it was everything you have dreamed of .

Seaside Splendor at the Hotel Del Coronado: Kelsey and Jeff

The gorgeous wedding of Kelsey and Jeff took place at the infamous Hotel Del Coronado.  I love this wedding for so many reasons.  Kelsey and Jeff’s fun and vibrant personality shines through their entire wedding.  Boy, do they know how to enjoy a wedding! It was fantastic!  This seaside wedding embraced many fun and interesting elements.  The bride wanted a glamorous wedding with touches of rusted beach elements.  We incorporated nautilus shells, corals and succulent blooms.  The teal color worn by her bridesmaids paired well with the vibrant raspberry and mandarin orange.  Their ceremony took place on the ocean front Windsor Lawn overlooking the fantastic Coronado beach.  The decor for the ceremony reflects their love for the beach.  We provided the custom bamboo canopy dripping with exotic white orchids and adorned with hanging orbs and starfish.  The aisle leading to their beach-inspired wedding canopy consisted of acrylic boxes holding grape wood branches, succulents and seashells.  The vibrant display of tulips, calla lilies and orchids in a deep orange, apple green and raspberry greeted the guests as they enter the cocktail area.  The colorful decor of this wedding continued to the reception in the Crown Ballroom.  Tall cylinder glass vases with submerged orchids and floating candles lining the entrance as the guests were led to the beautiful ballroom. The main focal point of the room was the spectacular Head table.  The long feast style head table featured a plethora of orchids, tulips and manzanita holding clusters of white orchids.  The tabletop decor for each guest table also included the manzanita branches dripping with white phalaenopsis orchids and strings of pearl succulents and surrounded with raspberry colored roses.  I love the pairing of teal, raspberry and orange for the Crown Ballroom.  The lighting and awesome dance floor provided Platinumpro further enhanced this spectacular wedding.  Emily Smiley was on board to ensure a smooth day and all the gorgeous images were taken by Jeff and Erin Youngrens with ‘The Youngrens Photography’.  Thank you so much for providing these to us.
Last and definitely not least, Thank you to the beautiful Davincourt and Wiegman family!  Congratulations Kelsey and Jef!  You both are so adorable!

The Lodge Torrey Pines La Jolla Wedding: Natasha and James

Several weeks ago we designed the  gorgeous wedding of Natasha and James at the Lodge Torrey pines.  The meticulous arroya lawn set a perfect ground for our intricate ceremony.  Using beautiful all white blooms with amethyst fabrics and accent, the lawn at Torrey pines  had an ethereal glow.  The golf course back drop was perfection!  (Speaking from a golf addict!) The aisles were lined with large boxes overflowing with gorgeous white roses and hydrangeas along with hundreds of elegant white orchids leading the beautiful bride to the sheer draped canopy.  The reception carried a different tone.  The Charles Reiffel room was decked out in deep shades of plum, purple, magenta and raspberry with gold accents.  All the bride’s favorite colors!  The feast style head table was the main focus of the room, it featured large floral arrangements bursting with deep color orchids, roses and tulips set atop Gold hand painted vases.  I must say,  I love these rich colors in the ballroom!  Each guest table centerpiece included large floral boxes carrying an abundant of rich hydrangeas, orchids and tulips.  We added gold rhinestone trimming to each box to complement the tabletop.  Jennifer from Simply Posh design provided the exquisite paper goods white Susanne Duffy from Crown weddings provided the flawless planning.  All gorgeous images were taken by Pam Scott.  Thank you again Pam!  Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
