L’auberge Del Mar

If you live in San Diego, you are fortunate to experience beautiful and comfortable weather most of the year.  We are now in November and the weather has been consistently in the high 70′s.  Now that is summer living!  L’auberge Del Mar is one of those place that comes to mind when one thinks about Sizzling summer and elegant beach wedding.  This venue is perfect for a beach style wedding and Randi and David’s wedding was sizzling HOT!  Drawing from the Seaside theme, we integrated touches of crystal starfish brooches throughout. An elegant alternative to seashells.  Randi’s style for her wedding was understated elegance.  Her white bridal bouquet was modern yet timeless.  We used a fresh blend of garden roses, gardenias and orchids.  Well suited for her gorgeous mermaid gown.  The wedding celebration began on the ocean view Sunset Terrace where the jewish Chuppah set the tone for this seaside wedding.  The Jewish wedding chuppah was adorned with gorgeous peonies, hydrangeas and orchids in a neutral white palette.   Chic and modern mahogany boxes overflowing with similar blooms graced each side of the aisle.  Their wedding reception continued upstairs in the Pacific Terrace known for its panoramic ocean view.  The decor for the reception embraced a modern aesthetic.  The main Head table consisted with an abundance of White Phalaenopsis orchids, peonies and clusters of white calla lilies.  The amazing work of Simply Posh design greatly enhanced this tabletop.  Beautiful and elegant silk board menus were set for each guest.  Absolutely gorgeous!  Each guest table consisted with multiple collections of clean line vases holding clusters of calla lilies, white peonies, white hydrangeas and orchids.  Our blush tone linens added a soft touch to this tablescape.  Weddings at L’auberge Del Mar are always stress free and flawless under the guidance of Ms. Alison Sansom, wedding coordinator at the Resort.  She did a great job with the planning and managing this event.  Thank you Alison!  Congratulations to the beautiful couple Randi and David!  Thank you Darin Fong for these fantastic photos

The Prado Balboa Park

This wedding was truly beautiful.  Jennifer and Kevin were married at the beautiful Prado at Balboa Park.  Their theme was Romantic Vintage Glam.  A plethora of soft romantic feathers were used throughout the wedding.   Vintage inspired crystal brooches for all the bridal party was a must!   The dashing gentlemen wore simple calla lily boutonniere with a touch of rhinestone.  The lush setting in the Garden was covered with thousands of white rose petals to greet the beautiful bride.  We draped the Wishing Well with a luscious garland of garden roses, peonies, hydrangeas and orchids.  The decor in the Grand ballroom at the Prado was surely grand.  The Large floral display looks like fireworks bursting from each table.  The feathers and crystals theme  played out beautifully throughout the ballroom.  The ornate cake table greeted the guests at the entrance with a custom cake stand.  The lighting was amazing and changed color throughout the evening.  Splendid!
Awesome photographic work by Will Parris at Parris Studios.  Congratulations Jennifer and Kevin!

The latest Winter 2012 Inside Weddings Magazine featured our beautiful couple Chleo and Ben.  Their wedding took place at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel.  Being the grandson of the Music Guru Wayne Foster Entertainment gives you many perks.  It’s no surprise that this wedding would be flawless, gorgeous and action packed with the most amazing entertainment in the industry. The lovely bride Chloe carried a classic white and ivory bouquet with a large crystal brooch while her beautiful attendant’s  bouquets of purple, magenta and plum hues were striking with their deep amethyst dresses.  Crystals, bling and sparkles were indeed the theme for this lavish wedding.  There were delicious details at every turn.  Upon entering the grand ballroom, the magnificent custom hi gloss dance floor set the tone for an all night festivities.  And how about the crystal encrusted grand piano custom made for the fabulous Wayne Foster?  We even made floral boxes adorned with large crystal brooches to complement this glamorous theme.  J Grace luxurious stationery provided the gorgeous silk board menus and our very own collection of crystal brooch napkin rings complemented the table scape beautifully.  The stunning large floral arrangement glistening with crystal prisms graced each guest table and the entire room lit up with violet and purple hues.  This truly was a glamorous wedding and the working with the Wayne Foster family has been complete pleasure.  Congratulations Chleo and Ben!

Hotel Del Coronado Wedding featured in Ceremony Magazine

This wedding had all the elements to be the over the top gorgeous wedding of the year.  The setting, the beautiful bride and of course the over abundance of flowers.  We were ecstatic that Ceremony Magazine has chosen to feature this on their latest publication.   We were so fortunate peonies were still available for this June wedding.  It played a major role along with the luscious white phalaenopsis orchids for this wedding.  The wedding ceremony was set on the infamous Windsor lawn overlooking the pacific ocean followed by the dinner reception in the gorgeous Grand ballroom.  I love the classic and elegant ceremony decor using the neutral soft palettes.  The bride walked through the  fresh thick petal path leading to the large  wedding canopy adorned with hundred of soft fluffy white peonies.  The cocktail hour was also held on the oceanfront lawn.  The escort table displaying the guests cards featured the deep bold orange color with navy blue accent, a perfect compliment to the bridesmaids’ Jcrew dresses.  Guests were then led to the beautiful Grand ballroom at the hotel Del Coronado for the dinner reception where large exquisite floral centerpieces consisting of primarily white blooms with hints of orange (The Bride’s favorite color!) We used white peonies, roses, hydrangeas, tulips and gorgeous phalaenopis orchids.  Elegant candle holders were bedazzled with feathers and brooches surrounding each stunning floral piece.  Our signature floral pieces graced each table beautifully in this Grand ballroom.  If you have ever been in this room, you would know what I mean.  The 40 feet ceiling with it’s vintage chandeliers demands a stunning floral display on each table and this wedding had that and more.  The beautiful custom dance floor designed  by Platinum pro made a striking statement in center of this grand ballroom, what a great addition!
Congratulations Laura and Patrick on your gorgeous wedding and magazine feature!  This wedding was beautifully planned by Crown Weddings. I am grateful for the beautiful images from Pam Scott and their main Photographer  Luna Photo.

Rancho Valencia Resort Vintage style wedding: Alex and Jesse

We had such a wonderful time designing and planning Alex and Jesse’s wedding at the Rancho Valencia Resort.  We assist this lovely couple with their San Diego Destination wedding as they planned this spectacular affair from San Francisco.  From Venue selection to amazing Vendors such Darin Fong, J Grace (formerly Simply Posh design)  Modern 8 Films, CBS Weddings to Wayne Foster Entertainment.  Of course weaving together their ‘Vintage Elegance’ theme for their wedding using tons of crystals lace and brooches was our main job. Our bride Alex loves the soft feminine color palette. We blended the whites, ivories and blush hues to produce an elegant color combination. Speial Attention to details is a Must for this wedding. Each personal item was specially crafted with hand crafted fabric rosette, lace and rhinestone trimmings.  The beautiful ceremony took place on the Hacienda lawn where we provided our signature wedding canopy.   Lace fabric added a unique dimension to the entrance columns and the floral boxes that lined both sides of the aisle.  Thousands of rose petals lined the main aisle to welcome the beautiful bride.  The Vintage elegance theme continued to the reception where large floral centerpieces graced every guest table with hydrangeas, garden roses, pendulous orchids, cafe au lait peonies and dripping crystal strands. Each candle holder was futher embellished with dangling crystals to add ultra glam to the tabletop. We were excited to introduced our luxurious custom gold overlay to the bridal head table. Talking about glitz! It was the perfect addition to this glamorous tabletop! The customized silk menus were absolutely exquisite! It was finished with a large cream rose at every place setting. The reception celebration surrounded the swimming pool where we floated large floral pieces with parafin candles. The glowing effect was magical throughout the evening. Vintage glamour was infused at every turn including the custom cake stand we made for their four tier cake and crochet lace runner for the table. As you can see the details for this wedding was vast and definitely the labor of love.  We are over the moon excited to be a part of it.  Congratulations to the beautiful couple Alex and Jesse!

The Grand Del Mar

I am still gazing at the magnificent wedding of Linda and Steven at the Grand Del Mar in the latest Ceremony Magazine 2012.  Their extravagant, lavish and luxurious wedding looked amazing in print. Linda and Steven was a joy to work with. Their excitement for their own  wedding was contagious.  Their expectations were high but so was their gratitude.  In the beginning stage of  planning,  we all knew that this wedding will be filled with tons of fine and gorgeous details.  It was indeed an elaborate affair filled with glitz and glamour.  The rich gold and neutral tones worked very well at the Grand Del Mar.  I can not tell you how many crystal brooches were used, but there were in abundance!  The ceremony took place in the Capella chapel.  Tall thick pillar candles lined the center aisle amidst luscious white petals.  Two large florals sat atop a custom crystal tufted columns that flanked the altar. Moving to the dinner celebration, beautiful large white floral arrangements at each guest table graced the Elizabeth ballroom.  Each vessel was hand painted with gold leaf adorned with hanging crystal prisms.  The striking custom seamless dance floor with their gorgeous custom logo (designed by Jgrace) was stunning and definitely set the tone for their wedding.  I love how the rich gold palette looked in this ballroom.  From the custom menus provided by Jgrace to our signature crystal brooch napkin rings, the attention to details was absolutely key to the overall look of this wedding.  The beautiful bride and groom looked amazing dancing to the fabulous Wayne Foster Entertainment.  This could very well be out of a movie.  Spectacular!  Kudos to CBS weddings for the smooth and flawless planning and True Photography for these amazing photos.  Congratulations to the beautiful couple Linda and Steven!

The Lodge Torrey Pines

This was a lovely and fun wedding.  Full of fine details and interesting elements.  Kelly and her sweet mother Diane knew they wanted something very unique before our first meeting.  After choosing their wedding venue at the beautiful Torrey Pines Lodge, they immediately commission us to design their spectacular wedding.  A beautiful marriage of Modern, rustic and organic became our inspired theme.  Drawing from the immaculate grounds of The Lodge Torrey Pines, we designed the ceremony with a rustic flair.  The intricate petal path design welcomed the bride to the heavily decorated arbor festooned with vivid spring blooms and flowering branches.  The striking contrast of bright orange and lime green looks stunning on the Arroyo Terrace.  The ceremony aisle was lined with alternating modern and organic design.  Clusters of mango calla lilies, submerged cymbidium orchids, bright parrot tulips mixed with our terrarium filled with succulents, moss and driftwood. We designed our signature escort table display using the same design model.  A tantalizing mix of tulips, orchids, calla lilies and roses set amidst moss boxes to hold the guest cards.
The wedding reception in the Maurice Braun ballroom embraced a clean line and luxurious aesthetic.  Each guest table centerpiece overspilling with Phalaenopsis orchids, parrot tulips, makara orchids and roses in a bright Mandarin and Apple green palette.  The feast style head table is always fun to design.  A plethora of sleek vases lined the center of the table.  Talking about making a statement! Platinum pro always comes through with their gorgeous dance floor and Emily Smiley was on board to help with the coordination and of course Darin Fong for the photography.  Thank you Team!
A huge Congratulations to the beautiful couple and their families!  What a great wedding!  Thank you for allowing us to share it with you!

French country vineyard Dinner party

We brought the French country in the Vineyard to the lush garden of Fairmont Santa Monica.  We were so honored when world famous watchmaker Petak philippe contacted us to design a special dinner table set for 24 of their collectors. Drawing from the delicious menu served at the dinner party.  We set the tone for a fine night dining in the midst of Bordeaux.  Long rustic wooden tables lined with lush hydrangeas, garden roses, interesting greeneries and aromatic herbs. Touches of gold brought elegance to this rustic setting.  Gold chameleon chairs with satin napkins and gold charger plates.  The outrageously gorgeous custom silk menus accented with sprigs of lavender was devine!  Wouldn’t this setting be just lovely for a Napa Valley wedding?
