Another fantastic bouquet designed by Aileen. She used pink phaleanopsis orchids and light pink ‘Erika’ dendrobium to form this elegant cascading bouquet. She also added a touch of light feather around the handle. So chic! Would be perfect for a bride who wants an exotic touch.

Exquisite Weddings Magazine Fall 2009 Issue: Tabletop feature
Hot off the press! The latest issue of Exquisite weddings magazine is out! We are so happy to be included in their Fall 2009 issue. For the tabletop photo shoot, the theme was ‘opulent Versailles’ . It was great fun to work with the phenomenal photographer Terri Rippee and Magazine’s creative director Alyssa Holstrom. This issue is gorgeous and full of amazing bridal fashion. Special thanks to the talented Kristy Rice of Momental Designs for her contribution! Thanks Kristy! Your talent shines and definitely added to the tablescape.

Wedding of Kimberly and Andrew: PURPLE!
I have been over the moon excited about this wedding for months! The color palette used for this wedding was to die for! Plum, magenta and purple were the shades chosen for the personal florals and the ceremony decor. The Historic Hotel Del Coronado was the venue for this amazing wedding. The Ceremony took place on the Windsor lawn where we used 400 feet of magenta leis to drape the pathway leading to the Altar. The swirling petal path led to the canopy which was draped in lilac charmeuse fabric. The beautiful bride, Kimberly wanted the reception to include an all-white floral decor with magenta and purple uplighting. The fuchsia glow bounced off the white furniture and the dance floor beautifully! Which by the way, was an amazing addition to the Grand ballroom. They were both provided by Platinumpro. The soft lilac linens compliments the lighting very well in this room. This ‘full of details’ wedding ran perfectly with Emily Smiley’s coordination. Boyd Harris shot these images along with his wife Robin. He did an amazing job. Thanks Boyd for sending these over. Look for more gorgeous images soon!

Bouquet Monday: Gardenia bridal bouquet
Happy Monday Everyone! It’s been a while since our last ‘bouquet Monday’ post. Today I would like to feature one of my favorite flower: Gardenias! Long regarded as the most romantic flower for bridal bouquets. This bouquet here was finished with a rhinestone brooch. We carefully hand wired each bloom and gather together to form this delicious bouquet.

Weekday Weddings at the Hotel Del Coronado
As many of you know, the Hotel Del Coronado is one of the top Wedding destination in the United States. Situated on the oceanfront property, one would understand why Brides flock to this gorgeous venue to tie the knot. Weekday weddings has been quiet popular at this location. I was happy to participate in one of them this week. I love weekday weddings, it’s somehow more mellow and relaxing. This wedding ceremony was at the Vista Walk with panoramic view of the ocean and the infamous red roof.
Ceremony Magazine tabletop photo shoot at Estancia La Jolla
We had a blast hooking up with Jim and Amy Harrick, publishers of Ceremony Magazine. We participated in their tabletop shoot for next year’s issue due out in January. The Photo shoot took place at the beautiful Estancia La Jolla Our tabletop consisted of 80 stems of phaleanopsis, 50 purple vanda orchids, 150 lavender roses and 60 stems of purple hydrangeas. The gorgeous linens were from Wildflower linens and Kristy from Momental designs graciously hand painted the menu cards and table number. We place a rhinestone brooch on each napkin. Fun!

It truly exudes classiness…it’s timeless and elegant….We used an abundance of orchids, import roses, hydrangeas and of course Peonies. Brooke and Matt’s gorgeous wedding II
I loved this Wedding! With over 18 months of perfect planning ,not a single detail overlooked! The precious mother and daughter team dreamed of just about everything. The wedding took place at the beautiful country club setting. With the over the top ‘Italian’ theme, they began their celebration by welcoming their guests with Italian accordion and violin players. Nick Palance serenaded during dinner with his amazing Andrea Bocelli voice. The decor in the dining room consisted of white florals such as phalenanopis hydrangeas and imported roses. The celebration ended in the ‘CLUB M’ with NRG band . Decor was completed with seamless dance floor from {Platinumpro}. Susanne from {Crown weddings} was the fabulous planner. Congratulations Brooke and Matt! I wish you the utmost happiness! Special thanks to {Dennis Mock} for these great photos!

More details on Nataeah and Chris
This fun wedding was filled with many pretty details….my favorite was this ultra pink canopy. It framed Natateah and Chris beautifully! The decor of the reception continues with black and white filligree table linens. The centerpieces consisted of silver candelabra with hanging crystal prisms. Pink color remains the primary color throughout the wedding. Peonies were on their last leg for this season so we were lucky to be able to use the 400 blooms for their elaborate wedding canopy.

Nataeah and Chris Fairytale Wedding
The lovely Heather Vallentyne from {Vallentyne Photography} sent me some gorgeous images of Nataeah and Chris’s wedding yesterday. If I have to sum up this wedding in a few words: it’s gotta to be ‘Fun, Chic and Bling!’….It was fun to piece together their inspirational colors (pink, black and white) into their wedding theme. Congratulations Nataeah and Chris. You guys are just lovely! Emily Smiley did a fantastic job planning this wedding. Here are some of my favorite detail shoots from Heather. The little girls carried magic wands….so sweet! more to come…
Brooke and Matt’s Wedding part 1
It’s hard to know where to start, this wedding with so many details. I will start with the beautiful bride, Brooke carried an elegant bouquet of white peonies and hand wired gardenia blooms. We incorporated her rosary into the handle of her bouquet. I adore that personal touch! The Bridemaids wore grayish lavender dresses. The ALL GREEN bouquets were striking against them. I hand wired green phaleanopsis and cymbidium orchids mixed with viburnum and imported green hydrangeas to create their lush and full bouquets. Wendy ware designed the monogram initials that was later used throughout their wedding. We hand painted the monogram onto the canvas runner for the ceremony. This really enhanced the aisle nicely. 150 stems of white phaleanopis orchids gracefully framed the start of the aisle and the Altar. Photo courtesy of Lauren Ong.

Laurie and Kendall’s wedding details
Laurie and Kendall had a classic and beautiful wedding on the Vista walk with reception in the Windsor Complex ballroom. This gracious couple was so sweet and made my designing job a breeze! The wedding embraces the ‘All White’ palette with a touch of mocha and natural green accent from the ladies’ dresses. For the reception we added the GOLD tone using gold linens and chavari chairs, while keeping the floral arrangements all White. Oh how I love white weddings! So elegant and graceful……
Beautiful images from the fabulous Darin Fong….
