This Vibrant wedding was recently featured in Ceremony Magazine San Diego and it was a lot of fun for us to design. Michelle came to us with specific instructions: to use an abundance of ORANGE flowers…… and that we did. She was also wanted the modern contemporary design for the reception and the lush over the top appearance for the Garden ceremony. The pairing of the orange, silver and cobalt blue was an interesting combination and visually striking. Deep hues of orange roses, tulips and orchids pays compliments to the bride’s beautiful white gown and the bridesmaid’s dark charcoal dresses The glamorous decor of this wedding started in the garden terrace at the beautiful La Valencia Hotel, where we provided a custom chuppah dripping with orchids roses, tulips and calla lilies in rich orange hues mixed with the whites and greens. The design of the chuppah was very natural and organic but it was also dramatic. A thick and lush orange colored petal path strewn in an L shape lined the main aisle greeted the sweet bride to the altar. The festivities continued to the Mediterranean room where we draped the guest tables with posh silver linens. Two different centerpieces were used and alternated throughout the room. The first design consisted of elegant groupings of calla lilies, tulips and white phalaenopsis orchids surrounded with glass vessels holding floating candles, each adorned with crystal rhinestone for an ultra glam look! Orange roses pave in an orange wrapped box was chosen for the second design. The striking cobalt blue glasses added to this tablescape, a perfect pairing to the cobalt blue jeweled menus designed by Jgrace stationery. Crown weddings played a major roll in assisting this lovely couple in the planning of their Glam wedding. Kudos to Jennifer Dery for these fantastic images (Note: images with ‘Jennifer Dery’ name on bottom). Congratulations to Michelle and Jeremy! Thank you for choosing us to be a part of your fantastic, fun and vibrant wedding!
Modern mediterranean Table Top~ Ceremony Magazine 2012
We have been anxiously waiting to reveal one of the photo shoots we created for Ceremony Magazine’s 2012 issue. For this table top, we chose one of the top venues in San Diego, the Santaluz Country Club. One of the many things I love about Santaluz is the Spanish inspired architecture. Mediterranean tiles accent their ‘old world’ fireplaces and wall. We took this inspiration, combined it with glorious Coral Charm peonies, delicate apricot parrot tulips, splashes of cobalt blue, and our signature touch of white phalaenopsis orchids to create a fresh take on a classic ‘old world’ theme. Traditional white urns were modernized with clusters of vibrant orange roses, white and coral peonies, and orchids. Sleek white boxes filled with geometrically designed groupings of these cheerful blooms were a tribute to Mondrian. Clear glass vases were given a makeover with crystals, embossed leather, and a sexy garland of parrot tulips. We created a floral chandelier made entirely of white phalaenopsis orchids to hover above the table. Now imagine yourself seated on a crisp white Chameleon chair, accented with a playful single peony, while drinking a delicious sangria. Thank you Darin Fong Photography for these amazing images.
Gold and White Wedding inspiration
Wedding planning season is upon us. Although I have been working with fun interesting colors and themes for my 2012 brides, I think Gold and White will always be a popular choice. It’s timeless, exquisite and so elegant. Here is a sample of the Gold White and crystal chandelier inspiration we are working on for our wonderful bride. Each floral vessel will be hand painted with Gold leaf and dripping with crystals set on rich gold linens. Custom luxurious menus accompany with Gold encrusted napkin ring holder and chandeliers hanging from above. It’s going to be stunning!

Inspirations from Chateau de Versailles France
Several months ago I had an opportunity to visit Paris with my three daughters. It was an amazing fun trip. On this visit, we took a side trip to the Magnificent Chateau de Versailles. The castle where Marie Antoinette herself resided. This amazing chateau is beyond words. I was utterly overcome with the vast opulent decor in this chateau. My head was spinning with so many ideas and inspirations drawing from every room. And there were many! Intricate trims ,crystal chandeliers, rich colored tassels, color tapestries all are indelible in my mind. You may have recalled my attempt to translate this beautiful place in our ‘Versailles’ tabletop so time ago. Now after visiting the Chateau, I have more insight and anxiously preparing to design other tabletop soon! Oh how I would love to put this table in the midst of the grand courtyard! Enjoy!
