New Ceremony Magazine cover

The new cover of Ceremony Magazine San Diego feature our Amnesia lavender bouquet. Aileen thoughtfully created this bouquet so here is her interpertation:
I came upon these unique amnesia roses and fell in love with its luxurious lavender, brown, and green tones. The texture of the petals were so velvety, it made me feel like I came upon a great vintage find in an antique shop. I’m enamored with the wardrobe from The Changeling and wanted to create a bouquet reminiscent of that time period. Dark purples and olive green hues of the pivots brought out the gorgeous color of the roses. Interspersed throughout the bouquet are burgundy foxtails, which makes it look like a rare mink coat that you’d find in your grandmother’s closet from the 1920’s. I add grey toned jewels and wrapped it in a luxurious antique sequin trim to really jazz it all up ~ Aileen

Chic Beach wedding at L’auberge Del Mar

Now it’s time to sit on that comfy couch, kick your feet up, and take in this intimate seaside wedding designed by Aileen. Kelly and Michael invited 40 of their closest family and friends to the gorgeous L’auberge Del Mar to join them on their wedding day. The couple loved the combination of green and white along with a chic beach theme. Exotic green cymbidium orchids and white hawaiian phalaenopsis orchids were the stars in their airy canopy and dramatic feast style table. Vases in various heights filled with Green and white blooms and romantic floating candles lined the table from one end to the other. Starfish and and seashells accented each one of the guests plates. Hotel Coordinator Allison Samson of L’auberge always puts on a flawless event. Special thanks to Bauman Photography for these lovely photos! Congratulations Kelly and Michael!

Classic White Bridal Bouquet

Billy Idol was onto something. A white wedding never goes out of style. Peonies, spray roses, gardenias, and cymbidium orchids all work together to make a classy bouquet fit for any soiree. And doesn’t a bit of bling just make anything better? Here’s a classic white bridal bouquet that is timeles….. ~Aileen

Kinsey and Chris sterling wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado

The Hotel Del Coronado never disappoints. With it’s beautiful red roof turret and historical background, it is a charming place to be wed. Kinsey and Chris had just that; a charming wedding. The ceremony preformed in the picturesque Garden Patio located in the heart of this romantic resort. The intimate reception was held in the Windsor Complex ballroom with a fantastic oceanview. Kinsey selected shades of lavender, amethyst, plum and purple as her main color palette. We introduced a variety of garden blooms such as hydrangeas, tulips, sweetpeas and garden roses. Kinsey carried delicate blooms of stephanotis, roses, and gardenias.
We draped the gazebo with sheer amethyst fabrics and lined the path with an abundance of lavender and white rose petals. The amethyst theme continued into the Windsor complex. We used shantung amethyst table linens and each place setting was finished with a sprig of lavender, just the right touch for a garden wedding. Pure and pristine is what comes to mind when I see this bouquet. You can’t go wrong with clean white calla lilies, green cymbidium orchids, and snowy roses. I especially love how it’s the perfect compliment to the bride’s gorgeous and simple dress. ~Aileen

Safari Bouquet

Grab the safari hat and khakis, this bouquet takes you through the plains and jungles of Africa. This was a compliment to the inspiration shoot featured in Southern Weddings. It’s packed with exotic visual delights like pin cushions, kangaroo paws, and succulent blossoms. The highlight for me are the eucalyptus pods, which gives it a fun tribal aesthetic. All you need is an African sunset as you walk down the aisle. I’m a huge fan of Pam Scott’s photos. She definitely knows how to make a picture come to life. ~Aileen

Sweet Surprise wedding at La Valencia Hotel La Jolla

This is truly a sweet story. I received a phone call from Mauricio two weeks before the wedding. He wanted to plan a surprise wedding for his fiance. Wow! a surprise wedding? Now this is something I have never done before. Mauricio thoughtfully planned their destination wedding from Texas. Selecting every element of their wedding even her bridal bouquet. He carefully selected everything with his beautiful bride’s favorite color in mind: Yellow! It was infused throughout their wedding. I love how Aileen hand wired each bloom of Betty’s bouquet to give it an elegant clean finish. This intimate romantic wedding ceremony was held on the lawn of La Valencia Hotel over looking the pacific ocean. Since the Mauricio and Betty are both members of the Brazilian Art Organization, he opted for a very simple modern canopy dripping with cymbidium blooms and crystal strands. Pam Scott did such a marvelous Job with their photos. Congratulations Mauicio and Betty!

Bouquet Monday: Purple Chartreuse Bouquet

Calla lilies have a way of stealing my heart. This time they’re combined with green cymbidium and Hawaiian phalaenopsis orchids in a chic an elegant bouquet. The chartreuse orchids make the eggplant calla lilies even more vibrant, while the white orchids give it balance. I can imagine this as a perfect compliment to a clean and modern wedding. ~Aileen
