French inspired tabletop

Here it is, the table top that fulfills my fantasy to stroll down the Champs Elysees and visit all the posh shops along the way. I was inspired by our new collection of jewelry and brooches and used it to accent everything from the centerpieces, vases, and even the napkins. Purple, lavender, and black have always seemed chic and Parisian to me, so naturally I chose to use roses, hydrangea, calla lilies, and feathers in that color palette. Jennifer from Simply Posh, whom always does such gorgeous work, designed the luxurious menus. Photos were taken by the ever talented Pam Scott. Thank you ladies!

Gorgeous Pink Candy Buffet

Feast your eyes and stomachs on this stunning dessert station done by the fabulous Kari White. An elegant selection of all white candy, splashes of pink, hints of silver, and touches of bling makes for a mouth watering display. How else to complete an event than with a decadent dessert buffet? Aileen has been excited about this tabletop for ages. She is obsessed with all things french and of course chic. This was truly a gorgeous display with tons of details. Modern brown and white tabletop

L’auberge Del Mar had us at “chic beach” and “stunning ocean view.” But when we saw their Waterfall Terrace, it reaffirmed our love for this luxury seaside resort. We knew we had to do a sleek and modern table display using white flowers and brown accents. Cascading white phaleanopsis orchids look as if they’re raining from above, echoing the falling water in the background. The centerpiece reinforces the aquatic theme with a row of water filled vessel, adorned with floating orchids. Supporting these vases is a floral pedestal of white hydrangea, spray roses, ranunculus, and orchid blooms. To give it an edgier touch, we added a white quartz rock runner on top of a brown suede linen.

Yesterday Southern Weddings Magazine featured our inspirational photo shoot. See our feature in Southern Weddings Magazine blog Here. The talented Aileen created a spectacular tabletop infused with the colors of desert flowers. She masterfully blended organic elements with touches of lush florals such as Hawaiian dendrobium and phalaenopsis orchids bursting from two trumpet vases. The interesting mix with date palm berries, lilies, and pin cushions created a tantalizing tabletop. I love her color pairing. Here is Aileen’s interpretation of her ‘Desert Oasis tablescape’:

We had this eye-catching apple green linen that I’ve always wanted to use. As soon as I saw pin cushions and kangaroo paws come into season, I saw an opportunity to have some fun with the variety of colors that they come in. My goal was to create a clean yet lush oasis with intriguing additions of eucalyptus pods and succulent blossoms. To give it a modern and textural feel, I used a white quartz runner and wrapped the vases with suede. Copious amounts of floating candles and orchids will give it a fabulous ambiance as the sun sets upon the desert. ~Aileen

Yellow black and white tabletop inspiration

Yellow is such a bright and fresh color. In this table top, we took lemon yellow and gave it a modern twist with accents of silver and black. White and yellow balls of carnations and mums rest atop vases and lucite squares trimmed with silver sequins. Graceful arches of calla lilies make a fabulous counterpoint. Who can resist glass vases filled to the brim with yellow cymbidium orchids and the darling jewel handles on the yellow pomanders? Black chiavari chairs and brocade plates add a little hint of black to keep things interesting. Alligator embossed charger plates make an edgy statement and have completely won me over. Charming menus and escort cards by Rock papper scissors design top off the whole look.

Pink peonies and gold tabletop

It’s that time of year when peonies are in full bloom, and we couldn’t be more excited. Their delicate scent, softness, and infinite amount of petals all send my heart a flutter. The season only last for a few weeks out of the year, and we try to take full advantage of these glorious beauties. Here we played with the colors pink and gold to create an over-the-top and opulent tablescape. Sarah Bernhardt peonies play the star in this centerpiece. Its abundant petals lend well to our love for things lush and feminine. His and her chairs adorned with flowers and streaming leis would make it difficult for any couple to want to get up and leave them for the dance floor. Add a floral table runner of white hydrangea, spray roses, and orchid leis as well as silk box favors embellished with crystals and you’re in flower heaven.

Regal Renaissance Tabletop

Contrasting colors can enliven once ordinary hues into eye catching magic. In this table top, we paired a gorgeous blue iridescent taffeta linen from Wildflower linens with hues of peach, blush, and gold for a subtle and elegant display. A vintage iron urn overflowing with apricot orange and pale roses is the focal point for this intimate baroque styled table. Just a touch of feathers and gold accents add romantic flair. Now just imagine Louis XIV having an afternoon lunch, sipping champagne out of gold rimmed flutes in the gardens of Versailles.

Photo shoot at Rancho Valencia Resort

The latest issue of Exquisite Weddings Magazine is hot off the press and includes this tabletop that we did at the Rancho Valencia Resort. We love LOVE this magazine! It’s packed with tons of fabulous pictures and great weddings. This Spanish Mediterranean resort had a fantastic waterfall that we wanted to showcase. A rustic urn was filled with white hydrangea and ivory vendela. Once the sun began to set, the votive candles really started to work their magic. What I love about mercury glass is that it’s so versatile and able to pick up any color. Here, it picks up the romantic glow of the candles and a touch of the brick tiles. In with the old and in with the new, was what we were going for in this photo shoot. Edgy Kool Chairs and geometric crystal candle holders were juxtaposed with vintage lace and a soft palate. Blush and beige Sahara roses were the base for an abundance of phalaenopsis orchids. Tapered candles contributed glimmering candlelight. I’m absolutely smitten with this sensual tan crushed velvet linen, courtesy of Wildflower Linens.

Ceremony Magazine Photo shoot: Tickled pink

This was our photo shoot that we did for the Ceremony Magazine party at Rancho Valencia Resort. Our inspiration: fun and flirty !
Let’s start from the top. Silver manzanita branches were adorned with pink and white roses, hydrangea, china mums, dahlias, and phaleanopsis orchids. These playful branches rested atop cascading pillars of glittering beaded strands. Acrylic vases filled with pink sea glass and an abundance of white and pink flowers were the base for these marvelous centerpieces. We used a silver satin linen from Wildflower Linen. And to top it off, we added strands of sparkling crystals. Kool chairs completed the tablescape well. At night, the display really came to life with the pin spot lighting and floating candles, which illuminated the whole table. Thank you 2 Rings and a Dress for the spectacular photos.
