Those darn cattlyas, with ruffled petals and delicate scent get me every time. I’m a sucker for the purple ones especially. Here, I clustered these gorgeous orchids with calla lilies, fuchsia roses, and these stunning carnations. I love the look of clustering the same flower types together to give the bouquet movement. ~Aileen

Hawaiian Ginger Bouquet
We just completed a gorgeous wedding at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua. I am here in Hawaii surrounded with tantalizing scents of exotic hawaiian flowers. The Aloha spirit is definitely contagious. Below, I collected a variety of my favorite blooms. Ginger has so many good connotations: the vixen in Gilligan’s Island, my favorite flavor, and one [...]
Bouquet Monday: Crystal Handle Bouquet
I love experimenting with different bouquet handle treatments. They’re just as fun and exciting as the flowers themselves! In this case, I embellished the ends with crystals from our new collection to make a sleek and chic little number. ~Aileen
Bouquet Monday: Exotic Orchid Bouquet
While snorkeling in Honolua Bay, I saw the most spectacular array of fish and coral. These spotted orchids reminded me of an especially adorable fish and I knew I had to do something with them. Dot com makara orchids (cute name, right?), james story, fragrant plumeria, and monkey tails come together to make a tropical [...]

Bouquet Monday: Kelly’s Wedding Bouquet
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing the floral design for Susanne Duffy’s assistant, Kelly. She was a lover of ruffly flowers, billy balls, and silver cone. So I chose a combination of David Austin roses, parrot tulips, and cattlya orchids in a coral, yellow, and cream palette to create her dream [...]
Bouquet Monday: Garden Bouquet
Comforting and intimate, this bouquet is enough to satisfy the rustic bride with a love for the garden. Delicate shades of peach, pink, and lavender are accompanied by wild hydrangea and scabiosa pods. A subtle gray satin ribbon was used to compliment this garden inspired bouquet. ~Aileen
Bouquet Monday: Vibrant Summer Bouquet
Summer weather is finally here, and when the temperatures rise, so do the need for vibrant colors. In this case, hot pink, green, and orange blooms make for a fun and flirty bouquet. The combination of tulips, orchids, roses, and spray roses give lots of texture and keep things interesting. ~Aileen
Bouquet Monday: Deep Red and Aqua Bouquet
I’m crazy about the look of contrasting colors. Here, a rich red bouquet gets an unexpected twist with the addition of an aqua blue ribbon. Black bacara roses, burgundy calla lilies, and deep red dahlias all contribute various lines and textures to make this monochromatic bouquet especially striking. ~Aileen
Bouquet Monday: Vintage Organic Bouquet
Here’s an earthy, feminine, and organic medley of white peonies, apricot garden roses, sandy colored imported roses, succulents, and scabiosa pods. A gathering of various textures, shapes, and colors, all wrapped up in a delicate vintage lace. I can see this as a perfect addition to that wedding with lots of charm and character. ~Aileen

Safari Bouquet
Grab the safari hat and khakis, this bouquet takes you through the plains and jungles of Africa. This was a compliment to the inspiration shoot featured in Southern Weddings. It’s packed with exotic visual delights like pin cushions, kangaroo paws, and succulent blossoms. The highlight for me are the eucalyptus pods, which gives it a fun tribal [...]
Bouquet Monday: Purple Chartreuse Bouquet
Calla lilies have a way of stealing my heart. This time they’re combined with green cymbidium and Hawaiian phalaenopsis orchids in a chic an elegant bouquet. The chartreuse orchids make the eggplant calla lilies even more vibrant, while the white orchids give it balance. I can imagine this as a perfect compliment to a clean [...]
