Aileen’s Bouquet Monday: Organic Elegance

A bold and elegant gathering of burgundy succulents, green cymbidium orchids, billy balls, and white phalaenopsis. This bouquet is all about contrasting colors. The white orchids off set and intensify the rich colors. I’m a huge fan of these Purple Aeonium succulents. They’re a stunning dark reddish purple, and give visual intrigue to any floral […]

A Vintage inspired wedding at La Valencia Hotel La Jolla

This is  without a doubt one of our favorite weddings of the year. Darby and Rod had their lovely wedding at the La Valencia Hotel, a historical landmark full of timeless and classic charm. Grey, silver, white and ivory were the central colors for this vintage inspired, yet fresh and clean soiree. We’re absolutely enamoured […]

Aileen’s Bouquet Monday: Art Deco Jeweled Bouquet

Can a girl ever have enough bling? This bejeweled bouquet represents  a variety of vintage jewelry, brooches, and gems  nestled in a bed of white blooms. Black feathers and a vintage jewel handle were added for extra flair. Seeing this makes me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston! ~Aileen

A sneak peak of the Parker Palm Springs wedding

We’re still buzzing from our  recent wedding at the fabulous Parker Hotel in Palm Springs.  I feel so Blessed to be able to work at such a cool venue and with the talented planner, Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings.  The decor was hip, retro, and fun.  It was like a mix of a 1960’s apartment […]

To my delight, Spring is upon us and offering lots of floral goodies. Without a doubt, Spring has to be my favorite season for flowers. Everything is so fresh, vibrant, and fragrant. I love the combination of yellow, white, and grey. It can be either rustic and vintage, or even clean and modern. Here I […]

Rancho Valencia Resort Valentine wedding

It’s so sweet to see small intimate weddings.  Janet and Brad had a San Diego destination wedding at the beautiful Rancho Valencia Resort on Valentine’s weekend.  I can honestly say that Jan was the sweetest bride.  She was ecstatic about her bridal bouquet that Aileen designed for her, which consisted of hand wired gardenias, cymbidium […]

Ceremony Magazine Photo shoot: Tickled pink

This was our photo shoot that we did for the Ceremony Magazine party at Rancho Valencia Resort.  Our inspiration:  fun and flirty ! Let’s start from the top. Silver manzanita branches were adorned with pink and white roses, hydrangea,  china mums, dahlias, and phaleanopsis orchids. These playful branches rested atop cascading pillars of glittering beaded […]

Aileen’s Bouquet Monday: Rustic Yellow Bouquet

Here’s a sunny celebration of spring! Yellow roses and button mums take a rustic turn with the addition of honeysuckle, acacia, and twine. Acacia has a long symbolic history and makes the most phenomenal honey. Bright and lovely, this bouquet would make the perfect addition to a springtime or garden-themed wedding. ~Aileen
